As of 2025, there are two upgraded new versions of Microsoft Surface Studio Laptop. 64 GB RAM should perform much better – as my current 32 GB Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio is a bit laggy after about 3 years’ usage.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 New Versions with 64 GB RAM

Surface Laptop Studio 2 Upgrade RAM

I got “Surface Laptop Studio 2 i7/32GB/1TB” is it possible to upgrade the RAM to 64GB?

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 has its RAM soldered onto the motherboard, meaning it cannot be upgraded after purchase. If you need 64GB of RAM, you’d have to buy that configuration directly from Microsoft or a retailer.

I wonder should I wait a bit or just get a Microsoft Surface Studio instead with a bit more budget.
